Ocean Marina Jomtien
03.11.2025
Ocean Marina Jomtien hosted the final round of the OMJ Thailand Platu Championship 2025 with another weekend of close and competitive racing to wrap up the season.
Day 1
Sailors faced warm conditions with an East–South-East breeze of 8–14 knots and a few cooling rain squalls passing through. Five races were completed, with Easy Tiger Racing taking Boat of the Day and holding a 3-point lead over Colin Simonds and Rolf Heemskerk. Justin Brownbill, Dylan Whitcraft, and Nathan Masopust showed solid performances and remained within striking distance as lighter conditions were forecast for the following days.

Final Day
After a short delay waiting for the wind to settle, racing resumed in a gentle 6–8 knot West–North-West breeze. Reading the shifts proved crucial, and the competition tightened across the fleet. Botany Access skippered by Justin Brownbill came out strong with a 1st and 2nd, setting up a thrilling finale. It all came down to the last race — Colin Simonds nailed the key shift to win the final race, edging into 2nd overall on countback, with Justin taking 3rd overall.

Easy Tiger Racing secured the overall Series 6 win by just one point — a result that also clinched them the Platu Thailand Championship Trophy for 2025.

Incredibly close racing and results all weekend. Congratulations to all teams and the race management for another outstanding series.
Special mention to Nathan Masopust, Rolf Heemskerk, and Dylan Whitcraft for their strong showings and continued support of the fleet. We look forward to welcoming even more teams to join the action in 2026.
