Ocean Marina Jomtien
31.10.2025
Ocean Marina Jomtien proudly hosted Series 5 of the OMJ Thailand Platu Championship 2025 over an exciting weekend of racing. Despite challenging and shifty conditions, a total of 13 races were completed across three days, with Race Officer Thammasak Meeyousamsen and his team doing an excellent job keeping the fleet on schedule.
Day 1 saw 5 races completed in a light and tricky 5–15 knot breeze, shifting up to 80 degrees between races. Easy Tiger Racing opened the weekend strong, taking the early lead.

Day 2 delivered classic Pattaya racing – a steady North to North-East breeze between 5–17 knots and plenty of action on the start line. Colin Simonds and his team had an outstanding day, taking over the overall lead.

On the final day, another 3 races were completed in 10–15 knots, wrapping up an exciting round of close racing. Colin Simonds held form to take his first regatta win, with Rolf Heemskerk finishing second and Easy Tiger Racing claiming third on countback from David Aylward of St George Sailing Club, Sydney.

Congratulations to all competitors and race management for another fantastic weekend on the water.
